Privacy Policy

Last Updated: December 1, 2025

1. Introduction

FaceSwapAI ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect your personal information and biometric data (facial features) when you use our AI face swapping services.

By using our Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Images and Facial Data (Core Service Data)

To provide our face swapping service, you upload source photos/videos and target photos ("User Content").

We process these images using AI algorithms to detect facial landmarks (e.g., position of eyes, nose, mouth).

Crucially: We do not collect or store biometric identification templates that could be used to identify you personally outside the context of this immediate processing.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you access our site, we automatically log standard technical data, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and interaction logs. This helps us prevent abuse and improve site performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 To Provide the Service

We use your uploaded images solely to perform the face swap operation you requested.

3.2 AI Model Training (Important)

We DO NOT use your uploaded photos or videos to train, fine-tune, or improve our AI models. Your content is processed strictly for the purpose of generating your requested result and is not used for any other machine learning purposes.

4. Data Retention and Deletion (Strict Policy)

We minimize data storage to the absolute minimum required:

  • Source/Target Images: Uploaded images are temporarily stored on our secure servers for processing and are automatically deleted within 1 hour (or sooner) after the task is completed.
  • Generated Results: The final face-swap images/videos are stored for a limited time (e.g., 1-24 hours) to allow you to download them. After this period, they are permanently deleted.
  • Log Data: Server logs are retained for a standard period for security auditing and then overwritten.

5. Information Sharing

We never sell your personal data or photos to third parties. We only share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use trusted cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) to host our servers and GPU processing power. These providers act only as data processors and contractually cannot access your data for their own use.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or to protect user safety (e.g., preventing CSAM or deepfake abuse).

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit. Your photos are encrypted while being uploaded to our processing servers. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we encourage users not to upload sensitive or compromising personal content.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your data:

  • Right to Delete: You can request the deletion of your data (though our auto-deletion policy usually handles this faster than a manual request).
  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at [email protected].

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information or facial data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our technology or legal requirements. The Last Updated date at the top will indicate when the latest changes were made.
